Mobiliário que se vai adaptando ao crescimento das crianças ~ Furniture adapts as kids grow older

Kids grow up at a phenomenal rate — both in size and personality, which means that parents can often buy things that become useless within a few months. We've already seen designers tackle this problem by creating shoes and even bikes that change as the child does. Now Italy's Dot and Cross has created a range of furniture pieces that aim to serve kids from birth to teenagehood.
Each item has been created with longevity in mind — when kids grow out of one use, they can be reconfigured to serve another purpose. For example, a cot is designed so that the front grate can be lifted off to create a kids' sofa.
A toddler-level whiteboard can be flipped up to become a desk for older kids to do their school homework on. Wardrobes and bunk beds are all modular, so that they can simply be added to when the child grows up, as well as configured to their own tates.
The range aims to help parents cut costs by making bedroom furniture last longer. Dot and Cross has already displayed at the London Design Festival, although there's no word as to when parents will be able to buy the products, or how much they'll be. Are there other kids' things that could be redesigned in this way?
